Advice that I would give to young children with apraxia is to persevere in your struggles, and learn to accept your difference from apraxia. When I was little I struggled with learning how to talk, but also with reading due to how they evaluated me which was through speaking. While you may not deal with the same struggles that I did, you will encounter struggles which you will need to preserve through. Preserving through these struggles will allow you to build character and prepare you for the future.

I would also advise that you learn to accept that your apraxia does you make you different, but also that this difference can serve as one of your strengths. When I was little I struggled with the feeling that I was different, and all that I wanted to be was the same as everyone else. This changed as I grew up as I started to realize that the challenges that I went through due to my apraxia have given me many strengths which have helped me in the never ending process of accepting my differences due to apraxia.
